Happy Late Thanksgiving!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, full of family, food, and fun. I think this year may go down as one of my favorites ever... in part because I was here (see below)
but mainly because I have so much to be thankful for... my family, friends, business, health, home, happiness. This year has been one of settling in, finding peace, and embarking on a new path full of possibilities and I am so grateful. I spent Thanksgiving in Kauai and loved every minute of it, minus the grueling 8 mile hike up that god-forsaken mountain on the first day of course:-). Beautiful waterfall but had I known what we would have to do to get there I think I would have settled for the photo we saw in the book....
As we got home from what will go down as one of the best vacations ever I realized that I finally feel "home". And THAT is one the top of my "things to be thankful for" list!
Another item on the list is the fact that I work with people everyday who truly mean so much to me. Colleen and Ryan are two of these people and I was honored to be able to photograph their wedding this year. Seriously one of the best ever... full of wonderful, fun, loving people. And what a party- photo booths, props, great music, and did I mention fun people??
Colleen and Ryan are perfect for each other- kind, genuine, funny, caring, and warm. Here are a few images from their wedding day....
p.s.- It poured on their wedding day but it didn't bother them at ALL!!
Til next time...
xoxo

I know it's been over 3 months since my last post! I swear someday I will make the distance between blog posts smaller:-) It's been a busy few months here at Amanda Padgham Photography- we are fully booked for the holidays and already scheduling sessions for the new year. I have so much to share.....
For now though, I wanted to post one image that just seems fitting given the current events of this month. Regardless of your political stance, I think the majority of us can agree that our world would be a much better place if we took to heart what this little girl is saying....

Could they be any cuter? Of course the fact that these girls are unbelievably beautiful adds to the sweetness of the pettiskirt, but I have to admit that photographing kids in these are too much fun. I am so fortunate to be able to photograph this gorgeous family again, and am thankful to watch their family grow over the years. Their parents have a remarkable sense of style and grace, and it certainly has been passed down to their daughters:-)

Summer is finally here and our busy season is underway! I have been fortunate enough to be able to get my baby-fix with a bunch of brand new babies lately. These babies are the children of the beautiful woman whose maternity sessions I photographed and posted about previously. And just like their moms these little ones are absolutely breathtaking....

The annual Wine and Wishes event to benefit the Golisano Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit was a fantastic night filled with great food, wine, and company. The NICU unit is an incredible place, one of miracles, hope, and amazing people, and the event shared the same characteristics. If you ever have the opportunity to attend this benefit I highly recommend it. It was a blast, and what better way to spend an evening than with a party that gives back to the community!! The slideshow I mentioned in previous posts was featured, and can be seen here: http://amandapadghamphotography.com/darkroom/view/index.php?darkroom/client/nicu
I can't tell you how blessed I feel to have the opportunity to photograph the infants in this unit not once, but twice. I have met some amazing people while doing this project and am humbled by the generosity of both the staff, and families in this unit. We are so fortunate to have such a remarkable facility in our city.
And remember that billboard I talked about before? I found out exactly where it is! It can be seen on 590 North, and will be on your left. But I thought it may be easier to just post a pic! Please forgive the photography though- it was taken through my car window... while I was driving:-)

because I've been booking maternity sessions a ton lately! Seems appropriate given that Mother's Day is right around the corner doesn't it?? Maternity sessions are double the fun, because not only am I able to photograph a woman at one of the most amazing times of her life (even though they may not feel like that's the case when they're 8.5 months along:-), but most of the time I am also able to meet and photograph their sweet little newborn!! Maternity session gift certificates are a fantastic baby shower gift by the way!!
As a little aside I wanted to talk a bit about the maternity sessions we offer. The best time to book a session is when you're about 7.5- 8 months along which may seem late, but I promise it's not! Sessions are very relaxed and we can show as much or as little belly as you like! It's great to have dad involved, and any siblings as well.
If you are considering a newborn session please note that the ideal timeframe in which to book a session is within the first 10 days!!! If you are planning on scheduling a newborn session please let us know your tentative due date and that we will pencil you in to ensure that you have a spot.
AND, in honor of Mothers Day and the launch of our new website (!!) we are offering a complimentary 8x10 for any session booked from now until June 15th (session must be completed by August 15th). We are so excited about our new collections and our new look! Please note that May is almost completely booked so if you are planning on a spring session call asap! We typically book 4-6 weeks in advance and summer sessions are already being scheduled and are quickly filling up.
Here are some images from a few of our recent maternity sessions, in honor of Mothers Day! We wish all of our fantastic moms a wonderful day and thank you for everything you do!!

There really can't be that many days of winter left. At least that's what I have to believe for my own sanity. We have a lot of things planned for this spring and are sessions are starting to book quickly. As a heads up- we will be having the May fundraiser for the Golisano Children's Hospital again this year so if you are looking for a session that month it's best to book early! And speaking of the hospital, the Wine and Wishes event that I mentioned last post has officially been rescheduled for Friday May 2. It's a great time, and the cause is even better! Hope to see some familiar faces there!
On to the images.... little Hudson and his family were perfect. I loved their session, enjoyed them immensely, and hope to play some soccer with Hudson's mom in the future!

Me!! Yes, that's right folks, Amanda Padgham Photography has officially received the self proclaimed worst blogger award... I really have no excuse, other than time has gotten away from me. And I think I start off almost every blog post the same way, so I'll just refrain from long apologies and explanations and get right to the images!!
We were fortunate enough to be asked to photograph the neonatal intensive care unit at Golisano Children's Hospital again, and this year they will be featuring a slideshow of those images at their fantastic Wine and Wishes Event. The event was supposed to be held on March 8th, but we had that nasty storm so it's been postponed until a later date (possibly April). For more information just click on the website at www.gchas.org. In any case, here's a preview of some of the images!
Not sure if any of you will remember this, but I posted some images from the Nicu last year and was fortunate to be able to see this little fighter again this January, at her home! She is completely healthy after being born at 24 weeks, weighing 1 lb, 5 oz, and spending 3 months in the nicu. Here is her before and after:
Isnt that amazing???? I am still in awe of her, and her family.
In keeping with the NICU theme, we are very excited to announce that one of our images will be on a billboard for the Golisano Children's Hospital! As soon as we know the exact placement of it we will let you know ( we think somewhere on 490!)
