I know it's been insanely long since my last post! I have no excuses other than being tremendously and insanely (evidently that's my word of the day) BUSY!!!!!!!!! I am so thankful to all of my incredible clients who continue to refer me and my services! I love you all dearly and appreciate the business.
Ah, where to start?! This summer was a wild ride. I did 5 weddings (yes, I know I said I would NEVER do them and now I am really starting to love them- even though my little kiddie sessions will always come first!) And I have been swamped with portrait sessions all summer, as well as a few commercial shoots. I cant even begin to decide which images to post! BUT I am working on a new website that will feature a lot of my new faves, so keep your eye on your email. Once the site is launched I will be letting you know! Hopefully I can get that finalized sooner rather than later! We also have a new wonderful addition to Amanda Padgham Photography! Her name is Katrina and she is the new office manager of APP!!She will be handling all of the ordering appointments, confirmations, shipments, and office work. Katrina is one of the most organized and kind hearted people that I know and is an absolute godsend.I can't wait for you all to meet her!
On another quick business note- I will be in New York City from Sunday to Thursday for a workshop and session. I will be returning emails and calls once I am home! Also, holiday sessions are booking QUICKLY! I am booking into November at this point and the cutoff for prints guaranteed by Christmas will be December 5th. Therefore, sessions will need to be scheduled by November 15th to be guaranteed prints by the holidays.
On a fun note- I have been "tagged" by a wonderful fellow photographer Erich Camping , which is a fun little game in the blogging community in which the person who is tagged (is that the tagee?) has to list 8 things about themselves that others may not know. So, here goes:
1. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love everything about the season and even had a Christmas wedding. I love the twinkly white lights, the wine, the GIFTS! :), the songs, the tree- all of it. When I was younger my dad actually made it a rule that we couldn't listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving because I wanted it once Halloween is over.
2. In keeping with the holiday theme-I'm not a huge fan of Thanksgiving. I like giving thanks but always end up feeling uncomfortably full at the end of the day. Perhaps I need more self-restraint....
3. I have a psychology degree from Geneseo, and a nursing degree from Brockport. I was all set to get a masters in school counseling at Brockport but at the last minute decided to pursue nursing. At the time it seemed like a great idea because I really wanted to work with infants and children and thought pediatric nursing would be perfect. In reality I came to the realization that I hate seeing kids in pain so giving shots and ivs ect just break my heart. I guess it just took me a while to find my true passion- but at least I found it right?!
4. One of my goals is to learn how to drive my own motorcycle before I die. Oh ,and have my own bike.
5. I think it would be great to run a marathon one day. But as much as I enjoy my 3 mile jogs in the morning I don't know if 26 miles is in the cards just yet.
6. I would like to travel all over the world and photograph everything.
7. I own a ridiculous number of jeans. And am continually searching for the "perfect" pair. And they are pretty much all I wear. I have a love-hate relationship with them.
8. I love music- of all kinds. Especially classic rock. I once saw the Eagles in concert and was handed a guitar pick from their bass player. It was so much fun!
Ok- now I have to tag someone else! Here goes: Sheri Visakaly , Juli Cialone , Lena Hyde , Kristin Penoyer, jesh de Rox, Brianna Graham !
And now, for some images:
That's all I have time for now! Hope to be back soon!!

Yeah!! New images and a blog post...it must be my lucky day!

Hi Amanda,
We have a mutal friend who speaks extremely highly of you and feels you are the best when it comes to a females perspective of children's photography and weddings.
I've been researching sites and have come to find that he is correct, which is why I have chosen to contact you for advice. I think the way you capture children in their right moment is timeless. I've always had a passion for photography and children and have made a decision in my life that this is something that I really want to do and espire to. I don't know why I didn't start it earlier. Your work is inspiring and any words of wisdom you can pass down, in regards to getting my business started, would be very much appreciated.
Thank you, hope to hear from you soon.
