Fathers Day is just around the corner and what better way to tell Dad you love him than with a portrait of your gorgeous kiddos!! We will be offering minisessions in honor of Fathers Day on June 4th and 5th!! Call to book today!
Also, make sure to join our new facebook page here: Amanda Padgham Photography ! And we figured what better way to celebrate the page than with a contest or 2! And for those of you who have yet to join the facebook bandwagon (and what are you waiting for?! LOL!) we are having a fun photo contest! As many of you know I do quite a bit of work with the Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong, particularly their NICU department, and I am continually amazed by the miracles that I witness there everytime I walk down the hall. Despite the absence of my blog posts I felt compelled to share this image with you. Born as a micro-preemie, this little guy weighs just shy of a pound, but exhibits such strength. Please send some love and light his way and have faith in the miracles:-)

Happy Late Thanksgiving!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, full of family, food, and fun. I think this year may go down as one of my favorites ever... in part because I was here (see below)
but mainly because I have so much to be thankful for... my family, friends, business, health, home, happiness. This year has been one of settling in, finding peace, and embarking on a new path full of possibilities and I am so grateful. I spent Thanksgiving in Kauai and loved every minute of it, minus the grueling 8 mile hike up that god-forsaken mountain on the first day of course:-). Beautiful waterfall but had I known what we would have to do to get there I think I would have settled for the photo we saw in the book....
As we got home from what will go down as one of the best vacations ever I realized that I finally feel "home". And THAT is one the top of my "things to be thankful for" list!
Another item on the list is the fact that I work with people everyday who truly mean so much to me. Colleen and Ryan are two of these people and I was honored to be able to photograph their wedding this year. Seriously one of the best ever... full of wonderful, fun, loving people. And what a party- photo booths, props, great music, and did I mention fun people??
Colleen and Ryan are perfect for each other- kind, genuine, funny, caring, and warm. Here are a few images from their wedding day....
p.s.- It poured on their wedding day but it didn't bother them at ALL!!
Til next time...
xoxo

Here are the details: Mini-Sessions are $125, for 1-3 children and will last about 20-30 minutes. Each session will include one 8x10 print with an online gallery of approximately 10-15 images with online ordering for one week. All additional items including prints, canvases, photo jewelry, and holiday cards will be available at a la carte pricing. Orders must be placed one week from the time the online gallery is posted- no exceptions. Sessions will take place on November 6th (rain date is November 7th) at our studio (and the surrounding Pittsford Village). Payment must be made to secure the session time.
I am shocked that there are only a few spots left and I just sent out the newsletter about 4 hours before this post! So, needless to say, please call asap so we can make sure we get you in! Also, I want to just give a bit of a disclaimer that this is indeed a "mini-session" consisting of a short session with limited images for the online gallery. We will be on a fairly strict time schedule. While I will do my very, very best to get the best images within that time frame, it will be more limited than a normal, full session, and I will need to move things along a bit faster than I typically do.
Having said that I cannot wait to see you all and know that we will have a blast!
How cute is she?! This is my 3rd session with little "L" and I cant believe that she continues to get even more adorable!! Kristi- this sneak peak is for you! I promise you will see them all next week:-)
xoxo

Am I the only one who cannot believe that autumn is here? I love fall, but I have to admit that I feel like it came overnight. Regardless, there is something so completely comforting about the fall season. I love that right now I have homemade soup simmering on the stove (because that's really one of the only things I can cook that turns out), a cinnamon candle burning, and one of my favorite cozy sweaters on.
The other thing I love about this time of year is that it is without a doubt our busiest season of the year! Which means I have the opportunity not only to see a ton of return, wonderful clients year after year, but also meet new ones! October is almost solidly booked- and November isn't far behind so thank you so much to all of my amazing clients- both returning and new! Please, please, please (!!) call soon if you are interested in holiday portraits. I know it doesn't seem like it but the holidays are rapidly approaching so if you are thinking about holiday cards, gifts, etc, please book asap.
I have had the pleasure of photographing a lot of seniors this year and with the yearbook deadlines coming up I thought I would post some of them! Thank you to all the seniors I worked with this year! I had a blast!!
How much do you love that pic of her and her mom?!!!
Until next time!!
xoxo

(Drumroll please.............) Melissa Geska!!! Using a completely random selection method Melissa was chosen to receive the $75 gift certificate for our contest!! Thank you so much to everyone who posted comments!!
The fall season is in full swing! I cannot believe how quickly seasons change in upstate NY sometimes. I love fall, but this year is a bit bittersweet as my oldest started kindergarten last week!!! How did that happen??? It literally feels like yesterday that I was taking him home from the hospital. Despite the many, MANY changes in the past 5 years, I'm still in disbelief that my little boy is in full-fledged, all-day school. Yikes. But he seems to enjoy it so far, despite his opinion that "it takes forever"! Doesn't his book bag look as big as he is?! (And please forgive the image quality- it was tough to focus through the streaming tears down my face at that moment:-)
The first-time kindergarten momma that I am was able to, shall we say, get a grip, and laugh once I saw what Lola choice to wear for the day. It's amazing to me how she can make me smile at the drop of a hat...
(Not sure why these are so grainy on here but you get the gist:-)
I have so many sessions I want to share but they will have to wait for now!!Please remember to schedule your holiday portrait sessions asap- we are already booking into November for weekend sessions and weekdays are filling up quickly. Stay tuned and enjoy the first FULL week of school!
xoxo

Life is awesome! And B U S Y!!!! Hence the lack of blog posting, but let's be honest... I cannot keep up with this thing. It's a goal of mine, but it seems I fall short continually for a few reasons. The first is of course that I feel overwhelmed with all the things on my "to do" list. Between the kids, the business, turning 30 (aka celebrating ), family obligations ect. I feel like I have a lot of plates in the air ( which I love btw!).
The second reason has to do with the fact that I don't really think people read it, which always pushes it to the end of my list of priorities. However, I have people telling me to post more so I guess some of you are reading! As a result, I've decided to do a giveaway to get more people to read, which I think will in turn motivate me to get my act together and post more!!!
So..... to be entered in our drawing to win a $75.00 GIFT CERTIFICATE TO AMANDA PADGHAM PHOTOGRAPHY you need to post a comment on the blog!!!
Winners will be drawn randomly on the 14th of September and will be sent an email with their gift certificate. Please feel free to pass this offer along to friends and family!!!
I know it's hard to believe but we're already getting ready for the 2009 holiday season! We have some great new designs for holiday cards this year and are having an "early bird special" for our fantastic clients! Those of you who order Holiday cards prior to September 25th will receive a 10% discount!(please note that we offer a variety of custom designed cards and offer 1 complimentary revision- additional revisions are $25 per change) To view our current 2009 designs just click on this link: http://amandapadghamphotography.com/darkroom/view/index.php?darkroom/client/christmas
We are currently booking into October and have limited weekend sessions available so please call asap to book your holiday and fall sessions!!
I hope you all enjoy the remaining weeks of summer and can't wait to see many of you in the fall!!
